Homeopathic medicine does not contain steroids. Medicines are prepared from various sources that include plants, elements & minerals, animal parts & secretions, human body secretions (ex-hormones) and other natural sources. By a special technique known as potentization.

Homeopathic treatment is not slow, the time taken by the body to respond to medication is variable. Conditions like flu, headache gets better in a couple of hours after taking the remedy. Conditions like psoriasis, allergic bronchitis; hormonal imbalances take comparatively longer duration to respond and finally cured.

The small pills called Globules are a medium for dispensing the prescribed remedy. The actual medicine is the transparent liquid, known as DILUTION that your doctor puts on the globules.

Homeopathic medicines act on cellular level, just like vitamins, hormones. Things that act on cellular levels are required in micro doses… i.e. very very small quantity.

The medicine is prepared in a distinct manner (Potentization), and is ULTRADILUTIONS of the original drug; one cannot see the original drug in this preparation. What we see is the medium which is very dilute alcohol.

Cases where major pathological changes have taken place, for instance Cancer which has metastasized to multiple locations. Major pathological conditions ex-grade 3 uterine or rectal prolapse. Cases where patient is continuously on immunosuppressive drugs, heavy doses of steroids, here homeopathy has little or no scope. Persons unwilling to take the medication.

In cases like Hypertension, Diabetes, Renal Disorders a patient is compelled to take allopathic medication, in such situations homeopathy can be taken along with conventional treatment. In cases like Thyroid disorders, Acid peptic disorders etc where patient is on allopathic med’s since a long time, it is advisable to continue them for a while and gradually reduce the dosage, and switch to Homeopathy. In both situations the treating physicians must be informed/consulted.

For best and faster results, it is advised to discontinue or at least limit the intake of stimulants like alcohol, tobacco/ cigarettes etc. Also excessive intake of coffee, mint, mouth fresheners is not advisable. Some food articles may be asked to be avoided in certain medical conditions.

During Homeopathic treatment, follow-ups are as important as the first visit. The change of symptoms may lead to a change in the prescription- the remedy, dose or potency.
